Skinny tyres are fine, as my instructir said - skill runs out before grip. They're a big help in the wet too, against aquaplaning.

90 mph for a cbr 125r is quite incredible. They are billed at 60 - 70mph and they are known as the slower in the 125 market say compared to the yam yzr 125 r and ktm duke 125 and several others so if your getting 90 - 95 thats pretty amazing.

I have a 2015 model, my main gripe is the poor finish and quality of parts. Already it has considerable rust, and many of the fastners will not come out due to corrosion. the exhaust has rusted through at the cylinder head end and there is a fair bit of rust at the base of the fuel tank under the seat. I don't remember my 80's bikes being in such poor state at the same age.

Got a 2006 cbr 600 for my first bike and the wind at the top of fourth gear felt strong enough to rip me off the bike, crazy speed and much respect🙌

It definitely moves pretty good for a 125. Makes me think it isn't stock. Mine would hardly go over 70 on flat road, 75 only downhill. Maybe a bit of elevation, but mine was 100 stock.

4 weeks on my 05 RR I'm still in awe 17000 rpm 13500 rpm is where the real fun starts Scares the shit out of me.

I have a full black 2009 cbr125r and I love it. I've ridden it for about 3 years now and it holds up like a champ in the city. Mine's fully stock and it has taken me on some long rides aswell. Now I live in Lisbon and it just makes life a treat.

What fuel do you put into it?

A bit a step too far from a 125 to this..great buzz but try stepping up in stages...some nice 500/650 stuff out there that's a little more forgiving..miles under you're belt & you'll appreciate other stuff..be careful out there..

I have a change on switching my VFR800 05 for a 02 954RR. The reason why I whould like to change my VFR is for 1 reason only. The fact that the VFR is just no reminding me of sitting on a bike at all times. I sat on a gsx-r1000 once and the at touring speeds I could hear the engine and on my VFR I dont have that. I just remind me on sitting in a car.....Windows closed XD. Would the 954 give me that feeling of sitting on a bike at all times?

It's pointless getting this on an a2 license, just ride an unrestricted a2 bike until you take your full test after 2 years, not worth the hassle of no insurance and losing your license if you get caught. Gives you a better reason to get your full license and motivation anyway

Picked a really nice one up the other month but found it a bit underwhelming tbh. Good brakes and quite light for a (nearly) litre bike, but my god the suspension is awful. Soft as sh*t. Have fitted a maxton shock and stiffer front springs, hoping that makes it more enjoyable to ride. The other thing I don't like is how snatchy the throttle is, it's like an on/off switch. I know it's a early EFI bike and is to be expected, it's just worse than I thought it would be.

I got 2008 model.. Runs great.. Its not the fastest 125cc but for begining its good enough.. The gearbox.. Only one issue when I go from 5 to 4 and I let the RPM on the 5 go down to like 6k RPM it jumps out of gear so I must push it more than usually.. When I downshift I press clutch in and give it gas.. That solved the issue.. Sometimes It doesnt want to start and hold idle when cold.. When I give it some gas its again the problem is no more.. I get from it max 125km/h for 182cm 90kg person its good enough.. Dude I bough it from was lighter and smaller he did done 140km/h but thats too mutch for this bike.. I rather go 110km/h not to torture the bike and for road in Czech republic its plenty of speed.. The gearbox is not really issue for me, the breaks are perfect but rear brake could have abs.. I tried only rear few times and it goes skid instantly.. Sound in high RPM is verry good for stock exhaust but I have some holes in it so make it little more noisy.. Tires are slim but they hold to no problem there for me.. Changing lighbulb is pain to get to it. othervise no problem.. Rear seat storage is big plus.. My friend has YZTF and other one has KTM RC 125 both are faster than mine, but they are jelous of my underseat storage :D... I would recomend this bike to everyone.. Its light, quite fast for 125cc and cheap fun before you get bigger bike :)

I race a CBR 125, ive done loads to it, its been on a dynojet dyno several times, and my brother built a tuned cbr125, the tuned one MIGHT pull 90, a standard engine will not pull 90, not at all. My race one which is around 25 to 30kg lighter than your road one does around 85 at a push, yours will push 12.0hp at the wheel, mine is at 13.5hp on a mikuni vm26 carb (it gained 1.4 just by swapping the carb), my brothers (injected model) is at 15.01hp at the wheel after tuning and he had 85 out of it on short gearing. So maybe it will pull 90 on longer geariing but a standard one definitely wont. PS: Not being rude, just thought id share my experience with these bikes
